It made me grateful that whomever had my 'new house' house before me had installed a sump pump and had taken all of the necessary percautions. So all I suffered was the noise of the drain pipe pounding against the floor joists (and the neighbors shovel) every time it shut off (pretty steady - a great beat, but I couldn't dance to it!).
So I am hoping that our pay off will be '...May flowers', lots of flowers! Can't seem to get enough!
Anyway, summer is fast approaching and along with that comes the Summer Writing Festival. I am very excited about this! My first time participating and I hope to gain significant education and knowledge from rubbing elbows with some very good writiers and poets.
My novel is in its final draft, I have hired a great editor and of course my goal is to have a manuscript submission accepted by one of the still standing royalty publishers (and if not , maybe an Indie) by late fall, early winter. I 'so badly' want to share this story with everyone and I am heartend that everyone who has been privy to it in its development stage, has enjoyed what they have read. The duty of a genre fiction writer is to offer their reader an 'escape', taking them on a journey that sparks the imagination. A mini vacation away from the stress and worry of everyday life. I have my work cut out for me. The power of a good book is amazing!
Kind Regards
