It is July (actually the end of July) and I am just getting around to it! July was named after Julius Caesar, before him it was Quintillis. Then the Celts came and sacked Rome for what he did to Vercingetorix. After that, no one there cared about the calendar anymore! (Just joking!)
The Summer Writing Festival is almost over. For me, it will be today as I wrap up my Query class with Charles Holdefer. I am hoping to improve my query skills, establish a method for developing queries, and than cultivate that method. I walked into registration yesterday and the undergrads that were working the desk actually knew me. My 60 seconds of fame. (I think after that you are just known as a nuisance!)
Not more than a week ago I received my second rejection notification for When Walls Fall Down. Yet I knew it was more like a 40/60 chance that, that particular agent would accept me. So, moving forward.
Off to class early today. Have to find an acceptable source of caffeine, maybe a good strong cup of Irish Breakfast tea!
Slainte!
